Tenerife is a place you simply have to visit once. A wonderful island with beautiful vegetation and wildlife. On this tour we climb the island's iconic peak, Teide, and hike on beautiful trails free of tourists. Not to be missed!
TOUR DIFFICULTY
This tour was put together for beginner and intermediate hikers. The terrain will be varied: gorges, rocky exposed spots and mountain paths. Guaranteed: here you will forget your everyday worries and focus only on the hike and the beautiful nature! Good stamina is expected; 800 – 1000 metres of elevation gain is the basic requirement.
Important! In the mountains many unforeseeable factors can affect the programme (e.g. changeable weather). For this reason I cannot guarantee the success of the tour and cannot accept responsibility for changes. In extreme conditions the guide always decides on changes to the programme or the route!

01
Day one
Flight from Budapest in the early morning. Arrival in the afternoon. Transfer to the accommodation. In the evening, rest and exploring the town.

Day two
Today we have a great hike on the eastern tip of the island in the Anaga mountains, heading for the wonderful black-sand beach of Roque Bermejo. We reach the start by car on winding mountain roads until we arrive in the small village of Chamorga, where the hike begins. We get ready and set off on our hike of almost 9 km. The trail climbs through beautiful paths and rock formations with great views, and soon we catch sight of the Atlantic Ocean. A little later we reach a small but lovely black-sand beach, where we take a short break. From here we climb again and return to the car park on another equally beautiful path.

Day three
Today's goal is the island's summit, El Teide, 3715 m. This hike won't be easy: 1500 metres and almost 19 km. The start time depends on our permit slot, and we may end up hiking into the late evening, so we need to prepare with suitable clothing, fluids and food. A long but memorable day.

Day four
Today a slightly easier and shorter hike awaits us on the south side of the island. We travel towards the famous village of Masca, where our route once again follows narrow, winding paths. The trail is exciting and beautiful, with wonderful views of the ocean all the way.

Day five
No early start today: after three days of hiking we have a relaxed breakfast, check out and head for the airport. Our flight leaves in the evening and we arrive home in the early hours.

The tour costs HUF 169,000, which includes guiding, equipment and organisation.

Weather
Be prepared for changeable weather; wind and rain can come at any time, so bring layered, waterproof clothing and suitable equipment.

We will stay in a 2 – 3 star apartment hotel in Puerto de la Cruz.
Insurance
