This late autumn we're holding a small team-building community hike. Wind or rain, we're going 🙂 Get your moka pot and your sandwiches ready – let's have a great hike.
TOUR DIFFICULTY
This tour was put together for beginner and intermediate hikers: 20+ km and almost 1000 metres of elevation gain on varied terrain – not too difficult, but you'll need stamina.
PROGRAMME

We meet early in the morning at 07:30 in the car park below Somoskő castle, where the hike starts.
From here we go down to the basalt "organ pipes" below the castle, then follow the green trail up to the Medves plateau. We cross the beautiful plateau and head towards Szilvás-kő, where we have a lunch break. From here we head back towards Salgó castle, first climbing Boszorkány-kő and then up to the castle. Here we brew one last coffee with a view, then return to Somoskő castle – and then home.

Weather
Be prepared for changeable weather; wind and rain can come at any time, so bring layered, warm and waterproof clothing and suitable equipment.

During the hikes everyone takes care of their own food: sandwiches, sweet and savoury snacks, chocolate, energy bars.
